On Wednesday, Â鶹ӰÒô High seniors Nathan Martel and Anya Stetzer successfully facilitated their third and final blood drive of the 2024-25 academic year. Their dedication and leadership have led to three remarkable events, resulting in a total of 175 pints of blood donations!
Throughout the day, it was inspiring to witness students, staff and community members come together to roll up their sleeves and provide life-saving support to those in urgent need of blood. We proudly welcomed 23 first-time donors, along with seven power red donors, collecting an impressive 53 pints of blood in total! Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all donors, including Principal Jodi Commerford and Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter.
In recognition of their outstanding service to the community, the American Red Cross will award a scholarship to be divided equally between Martel and Stetzer. For adviser Alicia Abdul, it is a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to these exceptional student leaders. However, she is excited to announce that rising senior Anya Miller will take on the role of student blood drive coordinator for the 2025-26 school year!
Be sure to to view photos from the event, and mark your calendars for our next blood drive on Friday, September 26!
