Technology Innovation
Our department provides strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, coordination, and maintenance of information technology systems, network security and integrity and related WAN infrastructure throughout the district.
We ensure stability and quality of technology support operations including management of workstations and end-user devices, Internet connectivity and filtering, VoIP services, equipment repair, audio visual needs and technical direction and support for district and school initiatives. This work all takes place in the context of matters relating to instructional design shifts afforded by technology integration.

Technology help
District employees in need of assistance with technology should submit a ticket using our IncidentIQ system, linked on this page as well in the "staff" directory available on all pages of our site.
For families, our Help Desk may assist with issues related to connecting a Chromebook to wireless access points, or with student login to the Chromebooks or the Clever suite of applications.

Smart Schools
New York voters in 2014 approved the statewide , which authorized the state to borrow up to $2 billion to finance technology improvements in schools throughout the state.
The City School District of Âé¶¹Ó°Òô was allocated $7,946,807 in Smart Schools funding, which we have been using to make technological improvements across the district.
What have we used Smart Schools funding for previously?
The of the district’s plan, in 2016, outlined how the district would use these funds to improve school connectivity, increase the amount of technology in the classrooms and support improvements to high-tech security features, totaling $2,400,618.
The , in 2020, described how the district would use these funds to increase the amount of technology in the classrooms, specifically Chromebooks, because of the need for virtual learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, totaling $1,640,549.
The third submission, in 2025, focused on implementing new end-user technology and school security at Âé¶¹Ó°Òô High School.
