During , counselors and career and technology teachers from our middle schools, elementary home school coordinators and community school site coordinators participated in guided tours of our career and technical education classrooms at Â鶹ӰÒô High.
Participants experienced our well-equipped, professional learning environments firsthand and engaged with Â鶹ӰÒô High's career and technical education teachers and our Director of Career and Technical Education, Maggie Palmeri. They learned about programming and explored opportunities available in various fields of study.
By catching a glimpse of what awaits our younger students throughout the district, participants were inspired to envision new pathways for the future for those they serve each day.
Â鶹ӰÒô High teachers also had the opportunity to participate in tours of the career and technical education classrooms to develop a deeper understanding of the breadth of opportunities for career and college readiness available to their students.
Thank you to our guest speakers, New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) President Melinda Person and Erin DeRouville from the NYS Department of Labor Teacher Ambassador Program, for sharing valuable insights with those who are working diligently each day to equip our students with the skills, knowledge and training they need for future success.
