If you haven’t yet experienced an Â鶹ӰÒô High School jazz performance, you’ll have several opportunities to attend free shows in the community during May and June.
Â鶹ӰÒô High has two jazz ensembles: The Jazzmanian Devils (advanced group) and the B Flats (intermediate group). Both are under the direction of John Halvorsen.
Their community performances are as follows:
Friday, May 6 - Jazzmanian Devils play Spinners, 22 Picotte Drive, 7-10 p.m.
Thursday, May 26 - B Flats play the garden at the Â鶹ӰÒô Public Library Bach branch, 455 New Scotland Ave., 6-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 2 - Jazzmanian Devils and Chamber Choir play the garden at the Â鶹ӰÒô Public Library Bach branch, 455 New Scotland Ave., 6-7:30 p.m.
Friday, June 3 - Jazzmanian Devils play the Â鶹ӰÒô Public Library Pine Hills branch, 517 Western Ave., 6:30-7:30 p.m. (opening for an art show)
All performances are free and open to the public.
