Honoring senior swimmer Cooper Sullivan

Senior Cooper Sullivan with his parents

The Â鶹ӰÒô High School boys’ swimming and diving team honored senior Cooper Sullivan in a special ceremony during Tuesday night’s meet against Â鶹ӰÒô Academies.

Coach Rossi Maldonado shared a heartfelt reflection on Sullivan’s time in the pool, while Athletics Director Kimberly Pilla presented him with a blue rose to commemorate his milestone. Principal Jodi Commerford, Assistant Athletics Director Glenn Westfall Jr. and Sullivan’s parents were also in attendance to applaud his dedication and hard work as a Falcon swimmer.

With many seniors from last year's team having graduated, Sullivan embraced the opportunity to meet new teammates and lead the team forward. He has been swimming for Â鶹ӰÒô since grade 7, and his favorite event is the butterfly.

Although the Falcons lost Tuesday's meet 95-75, they demonstrated strong performances in both individual events and relays:

  • Daviel Levy won the 200 free with a time of 2:02.99
  • Our 400 free relay team soared to first place with an impressive time of 3:59.33

The Falcons are set to compete in sectionals at the Shenendehowa Aquatic Center in Clifton Park on February 14-15. Tickets can be purchased via the .
